Update

Hey all,

Still working on the route, i have track laid pat the West Yard in Taft, just north of the Stanton Wye,
TS2013 has some issues of course. some of my scenarios are crashing.

some of the developers are bailing as well to where one only knows, and was contemplating Trainz but i cant get my head around the editor, i have no idea when i will release the route, i am hoping some new blood comes in and breathes a little life into the sim
i havent given up, just working through some issues

Whats been going on

Just to let you know whats been going on, i have a new job, however the hours are 5 days a week 14 hours, i have not given up on the route, i only have 80 miles of 220 miles of track left to go, just slowed down a bit

Auto Train Terminal

Rand Yard is laid, now laying the auto train terminal (Update: Main Passenger and auto area, haven't laid the shops yet, and pardon the normal auto racks, we dont have any auto train ones yet, well hopefully will motivate some to be made)

Arrival at Sanford, FL

Track is now Laid to the North end of Sanford, FL - working out the details then laying Rand Yard (the original track layout not the gutted version today) - and the Auto Train terminal

Progress Update

More progress tonight, working on DEM's for the rest of the route, I DO NOT LIKE ASTERGDEM data, it is horrible, so i am using 1/3 SRTM which is alot better - i ran out of terrain data today DOH! - no worries, track is laid past Seville Now, Next is Deland, FL - then Sanford and Rand Yard

Seville/Pierson, Florida

Pierson is the fern Capital of the world, the a line runs right through the farms, working on how to simulate the fern greenhouses next

My Motivation

Growing up in the 70's/80's i became a fan of the SCL - as a kid i used to come to this yard and watch scenes like this all the time, wish i had a video camera back then

Route Issues

I have 100 Miles of Track Laid today, i really need some rivet counters who are familiar with this line to asssist me, no hurry as i am still laying track, but let me know if you have alot of knowledge about operations on the A Line and wish to help

Lots of track

Almost 100 Miles of track laid, just put the buffalo bluff bridge in across the St Johns River south of Palatka, FL - headed to Satsuma now, The Model is by Ron Picardi, Used with Permission - need to work on it a bit to get it straightened out

More Progress

Trackwork has been laid to the south end of Pecan Yard, heading into Palatka now, also worked on the Rice Creek Swing bridge - alot of scenery is not complete but that will be after the track is laid, i do stop and do some scenery when i get the urge like here at the pecan Yard office

Testing the Signal System

Track is now laid to West Tocoi Siding, have a papermill to work on, and a Food Lion DC as well, pretty pleased so far, i have a lot of scenery to add, but doing the track first now

Some Awesome news today from the Alpha Tester, we have alot of issues ironed out, he will be testing the signals soon

Work Continues

Worked tonight on the sections of track i have completed - Basically from Dyal, FL to McGirts Creek south of Jacksonville, FL
fixed the Time of  day files so the sun better reflects florida, nice and bright now
bought some track charts on ebay, but found the section from Jacksonville to Sanford is missing so i will have to wing the elevations till Sanford


hoping someone will still create some SCL  equipment, however if all else fails when the route is complete i will take a stab at it and offer it as donationware
